We have had an exhausting week. Braelyn is now 9 days old and mom and dad are very tired. On MONDAY we got to come home from the hospital (on the condition that we keep her bundled all the time and wearing a hat too). TUESDAY I went to school for a simulation. WEDNESDAY my mom left :( THURSDAY we went to her first Dr's appointment. She was back up to 5 lbs. and they were happy with her progress. FRIDAY I had to take a test that I missed on Monday. SATURDAY we said Hi at cousin Taylor's Birthday Party. Last night, I could not wake up to feed her, Jeff kept having to bug me until I would finally sit up. So, today we slept till 11:00 and will probably be taking a few naps during the day.
Braelyn had a few milestones this week.
- Her cord fell out at only 5 days old, and still continues to bleed and get on all her cute clothes.
- She got her first sponge bath. She did not like it, but was not as upset as I thought she would be. After she was wide awake and very calm.
- She has tummy time for 10 minutes a day and loves to have her daddy read to her.
- She met her boyfriend Brennan who is only 4 months older weighing in around 17 lbs. I think he might smush her.
Braelyn has a few nicknames... Button because her button nose, Brae, and Spider Monkey. When she is curled up next to me her hairy back makes her look like a little Monkey. She got the Italian hair!
She hates it when her hat goes over her eyes, yet she always manages to get it over them.
When you uncover them she is wide awake!

She sure looks like Jeff in the pink shirt outfit. She's a cutie. Hopefully you'll start getting more sleep soon...naps are great & will help some. Good luck :)
Look at those monster feet! :) She's a doll....literally! It was so fun holding her on Saturday. She's so tiny and beautiful. I remember that hairy back with Taylor. Thankfully it eventually goes away. I'm coming over to clean your house! REST UP!
don't worry about the hairy back, all newborns have it and it will all go away soon. that was so fun to see her on saturday! she is so beautiful!

Mandi, she is really beautiful! The picture with the beanie over her eyes made me laugh. She is such a cutie, and even though everyone says she looks like Jeff, I see so much of you in her. Call me crazy, but I think she looks a lot like you. I can wait to meet her for longer than a glance. CALL ME to come and watch her so that you can nap. PLEASE! Oh yeah, and her feet are big! Her and Matthew can have feet wars when she gets a little bigger.
